Andrew Woolward, MS, OTR/L

Andrew Woolward, a distinguished Occupational Therapist holding both Bachelors and Masters degrees from Long Island University. Andrew's illustrious journey began at Brooklyn College, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Physical Education, earning a spot in the Brooklyn College Hall of Fame. As a key player for the Bulldogs men's volleyball team, he led them to a CUNYAC title in 1998, garnering all-conference honors for three consecutive seasons.

With over 15 years of experience spanning pediatrics, outpatient orthopedics, and various care facilities, Andrew is a beacon of expertise in developmental and functional improvement. His unwavering commitment to patients with diverse physical and developmental challenges sets him apart, making a lasting impact on their lives.

Andrew's passion for continuous growth is evident in his pursuit of knowledge, attending numerous courses in functional orthopedics, NDT, PNF, Upper Extremity Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Rehabilitation. This commitment empowers him to apply innovative and proven therapeutic techniques, modalities, and methods, ensuring unparalleled care for adults and children facing orthopedic, neurological, and developmental musculoskeletal impairments.

Beyond his role as an Occupational Therapist, Andrew is a dedicated athlete, finding joy in training and participating in volleyball and triathlons. Currently serving as the head coach of the Hunter College Women's Volleyball team, he exemplifies leadership both on and off the court.

 

Steve Ko, PT, DPT

Steve Ko, a distinguished Doctor of Physical Therapy, committed to optimizing your health and mobility. Graduating from New York Medical College in 2005, Steve brings over a decade of expertise in empowering adults and geriatric populations across diverse healthcare settings.

Steve's extensive experience encompasses a spectrum of conditions, including joint replacements, amputations, cardiac/pulmonary issues, falls risk, and general de-conditioning. His unwavering dedication extends to working with children facing complex challenges, such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and various neurologic impairments, combined with orthopedic complexities. Steve's therapeutic management has touched many lives, fostering functional improvements and enhancing overall well-being.

Beyond his professional commitment, Steve is a dedicated athlete, conquering triathlons worldwide and showcasing his prowess as a competitive snowboarder. This athletic spirit mirrors his approach to physical therapy – dynamic, resilient, and focused on achieving peak performance.

Siddharth Ghosh, PT, DPT

Staff Physical Therapist

 

Siddharth Ghosh, a highly qualified professional dedicated to your well-being. Siddharth graduated from the esteemed Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka College of Physiotherapy in India, laying the groundwork for his extensive expertise in physical therapy.

Continuing his pursuit of medical knowledge, Siddharth earned a master's degree in athletic training from Long Island University. Armed with this diverse educational background, he offers a full range of physical therapy services to patients seeking optimal health and recovery.

Siddharth's patient-centric approach encompasses therapeutic exercises and general physical therapy consultations, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized healing experience. His specialization in kinesio taping adds an extra dimension to his services, providing targeted support for enhanced recovery.

Vertika Goel, PT, DPT

Staff Physical Therapist 

 

Vertika Goel, a highly skilled professional dedicated to your health and vitality. Vertika earned her Bachelors and Masters in Physical Therapy from the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India, solidifying the foundation of her expertise. She further honed her skills, attaining a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Loma Linda University, California, in 2017.

With over 12 years of extensive clinical experience in both India and the USA, Vertika specializes in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her work with adult orthopedic and geriatric populations across various settings. Vertika's unique competencies extend to joint replacement, shoulder care, spine problems, and sports injuries.

Vertika holds a Masters in Pediatric Physical Therapy, demonstrating her versatility in treating children with neurological impairments such as Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and traumatic injuries. Her passion for continuous growth and innovation led her to explore aquatic therapy, recognizing the transformative power of water in the recovery process.

Chieh (James) Teng, DPT, CSCS

Staff Physical Therapist 

James Teng, a seasoned professional committed to your health and fitness. James holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Therapy and Assistive Technology from National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. His pursuit of excellence led him to attain a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from New York University.

With a diverse background working with orthopedic populations, including athletes, children, and geriatrics, James brings a wealth of experience to his practice. Specializing in orthopedics and sports-related injuries, he holds the prestigious title of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). This certification equips him to design tailored strength and conditioning exercises for patients and athletes of all levels.

In his commitment to holistic wellness, James is a certified Rock Steady Boxing Clinician, offering a non-contact exercise program specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson's disease. As a former volleyball player and soccer competitor, James brings firsthand knowledge of the physical demands of sports, enhancing his ability to cater to your unique needs.

Hsiao Yu (Neal) Chen, DPT

Staff Physical Therapist 

Neal Chen, a distinguished professional dedicated to elevating your well-being. Neal holds a Bachelor's of Science in Physical Therapy from I-Shou University in Taiwan, and he furthered his education by earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University.

With over 5 years of extensive clinical experience, Neal is your trusted partner in achieving optimal health. Specializing in both inpatient and outpatient care, he brings proven expertise in managing diverse therapeutic interventions. Neal thrives on collaboration, working seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to his patients.

But Neal is more than just a skilled therapist – he's a Tai Chi enthusiast and former competitor in Taiwan, blending this ancient practice with modern physical therapy to enhance coordination and balance. His passion for an active lifestyle extends to badminton and hiking, making wellness an integral part of his life.

Niki Patel, OTR/L

Staff Occupational Therapist

Niki Patel, holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from New York Institute of Technology. With over 10 years specializing in hand treatment, possesses a distinctive skill set designed to address a broad spectrum of conditions impacting the hands, wrists, and upper extremities. His expertise surpasses conventional injury and disability treatment, as plays a pivotal role in fostering independence and elevating the quality of life for individuals grappling with hand function challenges. Niki's interventions are tailored to each individual's unique needs, aiming to restore optimal hand function, enhance dexterity, and improve overall functional capabilities. Through his compassionate and client-centered approach, Niki empowers his clients to overcome obstacles and regain control over their daily lives, fostering a sense of independence and well-being.

Safia Syed Razzaq, OTD, OTR/L

Staff Occupational Therapist 

Safia received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Government from Queens College,  Master's degree in Health Administration from University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from New York Institute of Technology. Safia implements a holistic, client-centered approach using therapeutic use of self when treating patients, to ensure that they receive the optimal level of care. Safia is a certified Rock Steady Boxing clinician focusing on balance, proprioception, and endurance for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease. During her free time, she enjoys going for walks, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. Fun fact: she is a second degree brown belt in Tae Kwon Do!
